About

Backstory

I love to laugh, especially at myself! More corny jokes the better. Probably inherited this from my mom who was a lifelong educator. My father (did NOT like to laugh) was in the Navy so during my early years the family moved numerous times. I won’t list every city we lived in but I will mention Pensacola, FL my birth city and Ventura, CA where I spent a majority of my youth. Yes, I am a beach bum. Bike bum, Drum bum, Snowboarding bum, Golf bum, Yoga Bum…

Smiles BEFORE we went boarding! Boreal, CA
Not me but my son Max, a dead ringer of younger Vince, Waikiki, Oahu

Hardly Studying

Even though I went to college at Cal State Northridge which was inland, I did whatever I could before, between or after classes to go to the beach. I even joined the NSSA (National Scholastic Surfing Association) and competed at a collegiate level, of course to get free rides to the beach with teammates. I met my future spouse (not at the beach) at CSUN followed her back to the Bay Area where we live and have two kids.

I was interested in school sooo much, I augmented my BA with a certificate in writing C and and MBA in Finance and Marketing.

And now

Of course being a curious personality and a tinkerer, I love doing DIY projects and spend too much time at Home Depot/Lowes/Ace/etc. Can never have enough tools.

Traveling and seeing the world is high on my list of favorite things to do. The opportunity to see how people live outside of the US is something I highly recommend. I have been lucky to travel for both work and pleasure to various parts of the world. You can see some of the great places in the pastimes section.
